The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, conceptualized in 2003, has evolved as one of the most reputed global forums for business collaboration and strategic partnerships. Themed 'Gateway to the Future', the summit will be held from January 10 to 12. It will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.
In the upcoming summit, the efforts are on to attract more development projects and investments in the state. The state's future ambitions have been fuelled by a few mega infrastructure projects that signify a visionary journey toward growth and development.
The work on the 508-km-long high-speed rail project is going in full swing and is expected to be completed by August 2026. Worth over Rs 2 lakh crore, this ambitious project is spread over Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Once completed, the bullet train will cover the entire journey in two hours and seven minutes. Currently, it takes five hours to cover the same distance. The MAHSR (Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor) will have 12 stations en route. The bullet train will run at a speed of 320 kmph and will carry around 17,900 passengers daily in each direction. The high-speed train will have three classes - standard, business, and grand. It has an operational plans featuring a 2-hour 58-minute high-speed journey and a rapid 2-hour 7-minute option. It will prove to be beneficial for businessmen, travelers, students, etc.
Located approximately 100 kilometers south of Ahmedabad and 130 kilometers from Gandhinagar, the Dholera Solar Park is the country's largest solar project, having a capacity of 5,000 MW. It is situated within the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR), the solar park, spanning 11,000 hectares, is divided into 11 blocks. Spread over an area of 920 sq km, the DSIR is a major greenfield industrial hub in the making. Dholera is the country's first platinum-rated industrial smart city, featuring the largest land parcel in the country. It has received the Green City Rating from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).
A Multimodal Transport Hub building has been constructed on the East side of Sabarmati HSR station to provide seamless connectivity and integration between the various transport modes around the HSR station. The Hub building is being constructed as a twin structure with space earmarked for Offices, commercial development, and retail outlets for passengers.
Situated near the India-Pakistan border, the Gujarat Hybrid Renewable Energy Park is the world's largest Renewable Energy Park-Hybrid Energy Park. With an investment of Rs 1.5 lakh crore, the project integrates solar panels and wind turbines to yield 30 Gigawatts of sustainable power.
