Gandhinagar: Chief Minister (CM) Bhupendra Patel expressed this confidence by participating in the second meeting of the apex committee of the National Industrial Corridor Development Program through video conference. This second meeting of the Supreme Committee was held in New Delhi in the presence of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Industry and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal.
In addition to the Chief Minister of Gujarat, the Chief Ministers of Haryana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand and Industry Ministers attended the meeting through virtual medium.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said in the meeting that Dholera Smart Industrial City has realized the dream of PM Narendra Modi's New India. The Dholera SIR area is equipped with the necessary resources and infrastructure for the development of a specific eco system. In this meeting, the Chief Minister gave a role that an SPV named Dholera Industrial City Development Limited has been formed with the support of the State and Central Governments to create infrastructure in the activation area of Dholera SIR. Briefing the meeting about the progress of Dholera SIR activities, he said that the construction of infrastructure in the activation area is nearing completion and the process of allotment of land to entrepreneurs through SPV has also started.
Dholera SIR has received various proposals to develop schools, hospitals, hotels and residential townships etc. Clarifying this, Patel said that 600 units will be built in the activation area on the affordable rental housing model of PMAY.
Ahmedabad-Dholera expressway under construction by NHAI under Bharat Mala project has progressed more than 38 percent, he said adding that Gujarat government will provide all necessary support to NHAI to complete the project within time limit.
In addition, Dholera SIR has a Western Dedicated Freight Corridor
(DFC) for the entire development. Bhimnath-Dholera rail line project is planned to connect it. He said that under this project, Ahmedabad-Botad Broad Gauge Railway Line from Bhimnath Station to Dholera SIR has been approved by the Central Government and the State Government. The Chief Minister also said that the total land acquisition required for the Bhimnath-Dholera railway line for this purpose is in final stages and will be completed at the earliest.
For the development of Dholera, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel PM. Regarding the utility of the
Gati Shakti National Master Plan, said that the details of Dholera's development plan, land and infrastructure facilities in P.M. Gati Shakti has been mapped on the Gujarat portal. The Chief Minister requested the Union Finance Minister to seek timely guidance from the highest authority to complete the
Dholera Airport and Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway within the time limit. Also requested to give necessary approval for
Ahmedabad-Dholera Semi High Speed Train Project.
The Chief Minister also requested the authorities concerned to take necessary steps to include the Mandal Bachchaji Special Investment Region in the
Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor project. He said that the modern infrastructure of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and the
Dholera SIR under it can only be developed with the full cooperation of the Central Government.
